Managing Your Subscription
View and manage your BuildVoiceAI subscription under Billing in the sidebar. This page shows your current plan, billing cycle, payment method, and upcoming charges.
Viewing Your Current Plan
The billing page displays:
- Current plan — Your tier (Starter, Growth, or Agency) and variant (Self-Service or Managed)
- Monthly price — The subscription amount charged each cycle
- Billing cycle — The start and end dates of your current period
- Next payment — The date and amount of your next charge
- Payment method — The card on file, showing the last four digits
Updating Payment Method
To change the card on file:
- Go to Billing
- Click Manage Payment Method (opens Stripe’s secure portal)
- Add a new card or update the existing one
- Close the portal to return to BuildVoiceAI
Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe. BuildVoiceAI never stores your full card details.
Viewing Invoices
Past invoices are available through the Stripe customer portal. Each invoice shows:
- Subscription charges
- Per-minute usage charges for the billing period
- Any prorated amounts from mid-cycle plan changes
- Applicable taxes
Cancelling Your Subscription
To cancel your subscription:
- Go to Billing
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm the cancellation
What Happens When You Cancel
- You retain full access until the end of your current billing period
- No further charges will be made after the current period ends
- Your data (agents, call history, workflows) is preserved for 30 days after expiration
- Client portal access for your clients is disabled when the subscription expires
- Scheduled calls and active workflows stop executing at the end of the period
After 30 days of an expired subscription, your agency data may be permanently deleted. If you plan to return, reactivate before the 30-day window closes.
Reactivating After Cancellation
If you cancelled but your billing period has not yet ended:
- Go to Billing
- Click Reactivate Subscription
- Your subscription continues as if nothing changed, with no interruption
If your billing period has already ended:
- Go to Billing
- Select a plan and re-enter payment details
- Your existing data will be restored if it is still within the 30-day retention window

Billing Emails
BuildVoiceAI sends email notifications for:
- Successful payment confirmations
- Failed payment attempts (with retry information)
- Subscription cancellation confirmation
- Upcoming payment reminders
These emails go to the agency admin email address on file. Make sure your email is up to date under your account profile to avoid missing important billing notifications.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, Stripe will retry the charge up to three times over several days. During this retry period:
- Your account remains fully active
- You will receive email notifications about the failure
- If all retries fail, your subscription will be paused until payment is resolved
To resolve a failed payment, update your payment method and the next retry will use the new card.
